Become A Vendor

Are you interested in becoming a vendor at the Cochrane Farmers’ Market? If you “make, bake or grow" your products you may be approved to participate in our market.

 

We have opportunities for Full-Time, Part-Time or Youth vendors. Unfortunately, due to the challenges of COVID-19, community groups and buskers are prohibited at the market until further notice.

 

We host four markets series throughout the year, both indoor and outdoor. Information and applications for each of our markets is available below.

The Cochrane Farmers’ Market offers several vendor and community group options at our events hosted throughout the season.

Due to the COVID-19 crisis, Market at the Ranche has moved location for the 2020 season. You can find us at the Spray Lake Sawmills Family Sports Centre, 800 Griffin Road East, Cochrane, Alberta.

 

Location: Spray Lake Sawmills Family Sports Centre (Outdoor)

Day & Time: Saturdays | 9:30am – 1:30pm. Open rain or shine!

2020 Dates:  Season opening June 6 – runs until September 26


Vendor Profile

ALL vendors applying for the Saturday Market at the Ranche must submit a Vendor Profile with their application (with the exception of Youth Part-Time).

Full-Time Vendor

Full Time vendors have a stall at the market each week for the entire season. The number of stalls available for Full-Time vendors is limited.

Part-Time Vendor

Part-Time vendors can select the weeks they would like to have a stall at the market.

Part-Time Youth Vendor

Unfortunately, applications for youth will not be accepted this year.

Unfortunately, the Street Markets have been cancelled for 2020.

Location: Historic Downtown Cochrane, 1st Street West (outdoor)

Day & Time: Once monthly – Thursdays | 5pm – 9pm

2020 Dates:  June 18; July 16; August 20; September 10

Location: Spray Lake Sawmills Family Sports Centre (indoor)

Day & Time: Saturday & Sunday | 10am – 4pm

2020 Date: December 12 & 13

Vendors for our Christmas market are pre-approved, applications are available only to invited vendors.  Priority is given to vendors with “Make, Bake and Grow” products.  If you are interested in becoming a vendor at our Christmas Market, complete and submit a 2020 Vendor Profile form. Be sure to send us some great photos that showcase your products – we like to be dazzled!

Vendors that meet the criteria will be invited to submit a Vendor application.

Information for New Vendors

NEW vendors interested in attending the Cochrane Farmers’ Market in 2020 are encouraged to submit information about themselves, their business and their product(s) by completing the Vendor Profile form. This process allows vendors that have not previously been approved or have not attended the Cochrane Farmers’ Market in the past year to introduce themselves.

Please note that the Cochrane Farmers’ Market is an Alberta Approved Farmers’ Market, which means that 80% of our stalls must have products which are grown, produced, handcrafted, processed or baked by the individual. Products from outside Alberta or those that do not meet the above criteria are strictly limited. The Cochrane Market does not approve applications from new vendors that offer commercial / reseller or franchise products. This restriction also applies to most service-based businesses. Refer to the 2020 Vendor Rules and Conditions, Part A – Priority for Vendor Selection which clearly outlines our priorities when selecting vendors.

After the Vendor Profile is reviewed, vendors will be advised whether they meet the criteria for participation in the Cochrane Farmers’ Market. Upon approval, new vendors may submit applications for each of the markets they wish to attend. Note that approval of the vendor and their products does not guarantee that requested dates will be approved as may of our markets fill quickly.

Community Group (no fee)

Community groups are invited to participate in the market free of charge. The application form includes the Spring Market, Market at the Ranche and Cochrane Street Market dates.

Busker (no fee)

The market is open to all forms of street entertainment. The application form is for Buskers who do not charge for their services; it includes both Market at the Ranche and Cochrane Street Market dates.
